Rant rant rant

Okie, this is just my ranting post. Have u ever gotten seasick? I just did last weekend. Damn, the feeling was super awful. Allow me to tell u the whole story behind it.

I was asked by my instructor to help go teach the Open Water course at Pulau Aur. Me, haven't dived in a while was quick to agree but unknowingly to me, it was a bad decision from the start. When we reached Malaysia, we went to eat at this hawker centre not far away from the 2nd link called the 5 Star Restaurant. Wonder why is it called 5 Star restaurant when it served crappy food. Anyway, so we were supposed to be on our way but then the driver, whom was the boss as well, said that there would be a change of driver. And so we waited and waited and waited for almost 30 mins before the next driver actually arrived. Soon we were on our way. It was already 1000pm and we had to reach Mersing jetty before 12 midnite coz of the tide. It was an easy feat for this driver to achieve as we nicknamed him Michael Schuey. His average speed was ard 100-110km/h and he turns without braking, tailgates and more crazily, overtake cars like as if there was only him in the car. No one dared to sleep on the ride. Within 2 hours, when a normal ride would take u 2hrs 30 mins, we arrived at Mersing Jetty, very glad to touch land once more.

So we boarded the boat and we were 4 hrs away from paradise island (well not exactly paradise, but to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, anything counts). The trip was very slow mainly because of the wind that was blowing in the opposite direction. I was trying my darnest to sleep but i couldn't because the damn boat was rocking left and right! Argh!!!

So after 4 long hours, we finally arrived, sent the students to bed and slept for a while too.

Sad to say, diving conditions wasn't optimum. The wind was blowing real hard and it was affecting the visibility underwater. Didn't really enjoy my weekend dive.

*fast forward*

2 days pass and its finally time to go back. The boat was leaving at 1230pm and we had to go to Dayang side to pick up the survivors from the sunken ship. I gobbled my lunch and off we go. Initially, i thought. Hmmm, aint that bad, but once we were out in the open sea, I was so wrong! The waves and wind combined and whacked the boat left and right and right now, my stomach started to feel queasy. I figured, if i go catch some sleep now, maybe it ain't gonna be that bad. However, how much i tried to sleep, i just couldnt. In the end, i went out to the deck to witness the huge waves at work. Majestic yet terrifying. After battling the food in my tummy for almost 2 hrs or so, i finally succumbed to the relentless fight put up by the food in my tummy. i puked.

YES, I PUKED.

A usual 3 and a half hour journey this time took 5 hrs. Goodness gracious me. I was so glad i was on land again. So that ends my escapade and till next time.

ADIOS

*fyi, this happened last weekend.*
